Rough and fast

Greg managed to pull off yet another spectacular result by crushing the notorious Val di Sole track to become the 2021 UCI DH World Champion! After qualifying in 4th place Greg was able to put down a heater of lap to put the pressure on the remaining 3 riders. Vidal, Greenland and Vergier were not able to get close to the flying South African's time. Yet again cementing his legacy as arguably the greatest DH racer of all time!

A great result for Danny Hart who finished in 5th, just falling short of the Worlds podium.

Luca Shaw rounded off the top 10, a solid result from the American. He will no doubt look to finish out the race season strong with the confidence gained from this race.

A big crash from Angel Suarez saw him finish in 18th. Had he stayed on the bike his pace would have surely seen him finish well inside the top 10 but hey, that’s racing!

Alex Marin landed in a respectable 22nd although the Spaniard would of liked to place higher given the dry conditions.

A crash induced mechanical saw Pau Menyo finish 37th way down in the Juniors but the Portuguese Junior will learn a lot from this race and chalk this one down to experience.

Without a shadow of doubt the day belonged to Minnaar. To achieve what he’s achieved over the past 2 decades and still be on top of the podium is just insane!
