The Red Bull Hardline British Columbia debut event took place at Cypress Mountain, which rises above North Vancouver inside Cypress Provincial Park. Cypress Mountain is home to some of the steepest and most technically demanding trails on the North Shore. It’s never been a mountain that makes concessions, and Red Bull Hardline was no exception.
Frameworks Racing / TRP riders Asa Vermette and Mikey Delesalle competed in the first Red Bull Hardline to be held in BC.
Incoming inclement weather forced the event to be moved up to Friday.

Asa made an impact on the event right away. Backflipping the last jump on course, 97 feet, during practice.

Asa had a nasty crash in his Qualifying run. He was fine, but not completing his run meant he would be one of the first riders to drop on Friday.

Mikey had an outstanding Qualifying run that landed him in 4th. It was tremendous to see him throw his run down on this track against a stacked field.
Finals saw Asa be the fifth rider to drop. After a bit of a slow start Asa ripped through the final 2/3’s of the track to take the Hot Seat with the fastest time.

Mikey continued his excellent riding in Finals, bettering his Qualification run by just under 20 seconds and giving him 5th place.

All the riders that followed could not match Asa’s speed through the middle and lower sections. The riders going into these sections up on Asa were not able to maintain his pace.
Asa took the win and became the 1st to win all 3 of the Red Bull Hardline races, adding to the legendary year Asa is having.
